Session 16 Phandelver Tabletop Campaign

In Session 16, the heroes traveled to Valtrex's ancestral home, Helmfast Keep, some two days' journey northwest from Helix. There, they destroyed some wererats, slew a guardian alligator, confronted and slew one of Valtrex's vampire offspring, and returned home victorious. Their alliance with Valtrex has resulted in the party acquiring several potent magical items.

At the end of the session, the PCs leveled up to overall level 13.

After Phandelver Fox Session Four

Last night was session four of our tabletop Phandelver campaign. We ran from about 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm.

Figurines and a battle map are nice tactile touches. I'll try to start snapping some pics so I can feature them in these posts.

Currently, the adventuring party is comprised of three fourth level characters:

  • Lancaster Fox - a halfling THF 4
  • Feyre Archeron - an elven MGE 3/ENC 1
  • Celaena Sardothien - a human FGT 4

I've written a synopsis here. I stretched a little in letting them attain level 4, but thematically and dramatically, it was appropriate.

Now as 4th level characters, all three PCs either possess a magical weapon (Lanky and Celaena) or can temporarily imbue a weapon with a +1 magical enhancement bonus (Feyre).

I enjoyed the party's success against the 3-headed juvenile hydra, but it prompted me to create the Scarlet Horizons version of an adult hydra.

I want to get back to soloing Aury and Mattie. Towards that end, I have created a separate page for tracking their supplies.

Yes, it would be easier to simply use a blog page for the tracking, but I want all the Scarlet Horizons stuff to be handily downloadable for local reading.

I added a section to the end of the rules giving an example of how turning undead works.
