Trip home from Dayton

- Posted in Uncategorized by

I closed a client from TR today. Our new enrollment is 15. Hopefully this will aid us in meeting our direct-time requirement.

Hopefully, if the weather doesn't change, I'll be jogging this afternoon. It's supposed to be overcast but 60 °F. It's been three weeks, today, since I last jogged. I got that UTI, then I was covered up for several days with a pair of lucrative proofreading jobs. So, just an easy pace to burn calories.

In this picture, Bobo (Paula Miller) and two of my nieces, Katie and Lauren, are stopping for a snack on the way home from Toledo, Ohio, after Mikayla's (my oldest niece) wedding. 2016? 2017?

Then this evening, while Susan sits with her dad, I need to discipline myself to practice my lines for the Christmas skit.

I've updated the name and site pic of my Facebook group. It's now "Apps, Proofreading, Websites" at the following URL: https://www.facebook.com/groups/AppsProofreadingWebsites. I went to fiverr and re-downloaded the voiceover video advert I had made months ago, and uploaded that video to my little corner of FB and LinkedIn. I also put it on my website homepage, along with a bold link beneath it on the homepage redirecting visitors to my FB Group page.

Hinton's orchard

Well, fairly relaxed day at work today. Only six clients at TR. Tomorrow is our field trip to Hinton's Orchard. I'm not particularly looking forward to it. I'm guessing 8-10 clients to actually show up in time to make the trip.

I'm trying out OwnCloud by installing it on VirtualBox as an appliance, on my HP computer. That failed to work, even after I enabled the Hypervisor feature on Windows 10. So then I enabled the Linux subsystem, rebooted, went to the Windows Store, and downloaded and installed Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.

Sunday 06th October 2019

Sunday 10/06/2019 I have some anxiety because I have a couple of OTRs due first thing at work tomorrow. That's my fault because I could have gotten them done last week.

1988 flight to Europe:

I've also decided that if I'm ever going to get the myriad of photos scanned (that I collected upon dad's death), I just need to scan and upload at least one daily. So, today's picture is a shot from a plane trip either going to or returning from Europe in 1988. It's a shot of the wing and an engine from my window seat.

This trip was taken with my high school Spanish class, some of them anyway. Ms. Troutman was our chaperone. Her friend Mrs. Sapp also went. Mrs. Sapp was my high school health class teacher.

Last night, Susan and I watched a movie based on Stephen King's novella In The Tall Grass. I think his son also helped with the novella. Today, after church, we watched a movie called Artemis Hotel. Pretty good. We also watched a movie titled Let Me In about a child vampire.

<img align="right" hspace=10 vspace=10 enter image description hereI also came across this old picture from my childhood. That's William David Ware on the right, son of Gary and Bonne Ware, a school friend. I sent a link of this picture to mom, Margaret, and Allan.

I've about finished syncing a bunch of software to my NAS and my OneDrive (I have 1 TB there thanks to my annual Office 365 subscription) account. I'm also backing it up to a 465Gb USB drive.

We had ham and cheese sliders at Mamaw's for lunch. Wanda brought potato salad. I overate a bit, but I'd had very little breakfast.

Removable drives and hamburger helper

Second consecutive day without K at work. Annoying. C and I cooked lunch. Something like hamburger helper. Billed on eight today. Can't find my King Dian drive. Hope it turns up, but it's not critical. I have plenty of backups of its contents.

Susan has been over sitting with her dad while Barbara is out. I've watched episodes 5 and 6 of the third season of Colony. I'm going to go next door now and spend some time with Susan and Jimmie.

It's been in the mid- to upper-90s every afternoon this week, but tomorrow afternoon is gonna be 70-75, supposedly, so I'm hoping I can get a 10K run in after work. I also need to call and leave a message for Dr. Jones to see if she'll refill my redacted.

Today, I figured out how to configure FreeFileSync 10.16 to mirror some directories to my Google Drive and to my current website's public ftp folder. I saved the XML config files.

Texted mom this morning. Sounded like she and Sharylon are having a pretty good trip. Susan said Hannah is house-sitting for Brack and Isabel Flanagan for a few evenings, taking care of their dogs.
